GASTROMEDIA: FOOD PORN EVENT

You all know that we at DRIBBLE DOTS are hard core food pornographers. What you may or may not be aware of is that we are socialholics as well. In fact, we love to sponsor Social Media Trainwrecks, the monthly event that revolves around social media, created by our social media guru, Dot Lung.
Little did we know that our food porn world would collide with this socialholic support group on Tuesday, May 6. #Trainwrx took a turn into the seductive world of edible imagery when Dot asked DRIBBLE DOTS creator Jason Clevering to present. A little background information: Jason has been high level food photographer in the past, shooting the likes of Paula Deen, Mario Batali, and Giada de Laurentis (and their food), among others. This month, Social Media Trainwrecks turned into #Gastromedia and we socialholics were able to indulge in the foodie inside of us!
After a few moments of a DRIBBLE DOTS snack buffet, everyone was seated at the Mexican restaurant Dos Trece to watch Jason's pesentation: "HOW TO GET OFF YOUR KNEES IN THE FOOD PORN BIZ". He began with a brief history of his experience in photography. After photographing cranky, hungry fashion models for so many years, Jason got an opportunity to shoot really sexy stuff when he got a call from Food Network. He then began shooting for chefs and restaurants internationally. Eventually, Jason's creativity wheels were cranked up when he invented "THE GREATEST BRAND EVER CREATED"! Not only is DRIBBLE DOTS the sexiest food product brand out there, but the Twinchies are a couple of sweet cherries on top on the sundae! #Obviously.
Jason finished his presentation off with some rules on how to create food porn. While he mentioned many dos and don'ts about getting the right angle, using a proper setting, going overboard on filters, and slapping on some text, the rule that stood out most of all was, "THE STOMACH IS THE ORGAN CLOSEST TO THE GENITALS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING EMOTION". This rule trascends age, gender, and sexual preference. Never forget it!
